Northern Quest Resort and Casino to host Olympic Gold Medalist Peggy Fleming February 5th

Northern Quest Resort & Casino presents breast cancer survivor and 1968 Gold Medalist Ice Skater Peggy Fleming on Friday February 5, 2010. Breast Cancer survivors are invited for a dessert reception, with a motivational speech from Peggy Fleming.

Stay and chat with the Olympic Gold Medalist and hear about how she has been successful with her battle against breast cancer and why it’s so important to have regular screenings for EARLY detection of breast cancer.

Passionately Pink for the Cure®

Passionately Pink for the Cure® is a fundraising and awareness program. It’s a simple but effective way for groups to show their support for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Anyone can participate in Passionately Pink for the Cure!

Groups pick a day (or days), anytime throughout the year, to wear pink and make a donation to Komen for the Cure.

Recruit companies, religious or social groups, schools, clubs, friends and family to go Passionately Pink for the Cure® and have them register at http://www.passionatelypink.org/.

Registered groups receive a participation kit that includes posters to promote their day, breast health information and Passionately Pink for the Cure pins for participants to wear to show their support for the cure.

Each participating organization will receive tear off cards that allow them to ask customers and employees to make a donation and proudly display their support on store walls, classroom bulletin boards or anywhere they choose to post their cards.

Did you know?

75% of all funds remain here in the 14 county service area to help fund community breast cancer health programs. The remaining 25% is sent to Komen National to assist with their exceptional research programs.
